We are excited to host our big event at Northeast Ohio’s distinguished Napa inspired winery. Where nature’s beauty blends seamlessly into a mix of modern and rustic architecture, Sapphire Creek Winery is nestled among ten acres of secluded woods and streams.

Dress Code

Formal Attire | Neutral Colors

We would love for our guests to feel like they are a part of our big day! We are requesting formal, cocktail attire in neutral colors for the evening affair. Neutral tones include white, cream, beige, tan, taupe, brown, blush, mauve, grey, silver, gold, bronze, dark navy, olive, and black. We ask that you refrain from wearing bright colors to follow our moody, neutral theme. A sample palette is shown below.

Our Wedding

How We Met

It all started on a snowy February evening in Kent, Ohio. Eli had seen a video of Sarah singing and playing guitar and Eli knew he had to find a way to meet this girl. They officially met at Eli’s house in Kent on February 4, 2016. Eli’s hopes of making music together were quickly crushed that night, as Sarah was far too nervous to sing in front of him and instead hummed through every song. But what came out of that night instead of music, was a night full of laughter, deep talks, and an instant connection between the two. From that moment on, they became best friends and eventually lovers that couldn’t spend a moment apart. And the rest, is history....until the infamous breakup of 2017. From “Friends, Lovers to Nothing” (John Mayer, 2009), they remained apart for the next 2 years. While both believed that chapter of their lives was closed for good, little did they know “Moving On and Getting Over” (John Mayer, 2017) just wasn’t a possibility for them. They kept every “3x5” (John Mayer, 2001) of each other, “Waiting on the Day” (John Mayer, 2013) that maybe they would get some “Clarity” (John Mayer, 2003) as to why it always felt like “Something’s Missing” (John Mayer, 2003). The moment they reconnected, it was like no time had passed and even “Gravity” (John Mayer, 2006) couldn’t keep them apart. It was that moment they knew they were each other’s “Face to Call Home” (John Mayer, 2012) and forever was the only way to go.

February 4, 2016

The Proposal 

It was Thursday Night Football in Cleveland. Steelers vs. Browns. Eli told Sarah they were going to meet up with their good friends, Rory and Jenny, at one of their favorite restaurants to watch the game. They headed to the restaurant all decked out in Steelers and Browns gear. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a doorway hidden by a curtain. Eli told Sarah to walk through the curtain to see if Rory and Jenny had a table. Sarah pulled back the curtain (a little confused as to why there was a curtain in the first place) expecting to see their friends. Instead, she was beyond shocked to see almost 70 familiar faces staring and smiling at her. Before she could even comprehend what was happening, Eli tapped her shoulder behind her and popped through the curtain on one knee with her dream ring in his hand. Almost 70 friends, grandparents, coworkers, and family from all across the country came together for the big surprise, all in Steelers and Browns gear. Although the Steelers took an L that night, Sarah came out with a huge W. It was by far the best night of their lives.

September 22, 2022

Eli and Sarah bought their first house and moved to a small town outside of Philadelphia in October 2022 with their French Bulldog, Louie. Eli works as a district marketing manager for Federated Insurance where he manages 10 marketing reps throughout Eastern PA. Sarah works as a Speech-Language Pathologist for DynamiCare Therapy where she travels to different inner city preschools in underprivileged communities of Western Philly.

What time will doors open?

Doors to the venue will open at 3:30 PM ✤ ✤ ✤

What time will the ceremony start?

Ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 PM✤ ✤ ✤

Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same place?

Yes! Both will be held at Sapphire Creek Winery✤ ✤ ✤

Will the ceremony be outside?

Yes! The ceremony will be held in the grass lawn or under the pavilion, so dress accordingly. In severe weather circumstances, the ceremony will be moved inside✤ ✤ ✤

Can guests park at the venue?

Yes! There is a large parking lot in front of the venue. Valet parking will be provided. If you do not wish to drive to the venue, there will be a shuttle taking guests to the venue from the Cleveland Marriott East starting at 3 PM. It will also pick up guests at the venue to take them back to the hotel starting at 9 PM. More info regarding shuttle is provided below.✤ ✤ ✤

Is there a dress code?

We would love for you to feel like you are a part of our big day! We are requesting formal, cocktail attire in muted neutral colors for the evening. And no we will not kick you out if you don’t follow the theme, it’s just for fun ;) but Eli WILL kick you out if you wear short sleeves and jeans!✤ ✤ ✤

What should I wear?

Women: An elegant look wearing a knee-length, tea-length, midi/long dress, pantsuit, or jumpsuit paired with sensible heels or flats. Men: An elevated look wearing a suit and tie, blazer, or sports coat paired with dress shoes or dressy sneakers.✤ ✤ ✤

What is considered neutral colors for my attire?

Black, olive, brown, dark navy, white, cream, beige, taupe, tan, grey, light blush, mauve, silver, gold, bronze, and rose gold. We ask that you refrain from wearing any BRIGHT colors such as blue, green, red, pink, purple, orange, and yellow to follow the muted/neutral theme!✤ ✤ ✤

Are kids welcome?

No, we want an evening of relaxation for all parents so we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion.✤ ✤ ✤

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to the limitations of our venue, plus ones are by invitation only. All invited guests will be addressed on the invitations as well as when RSVPing on the website. Thank you for understanding! You can reach out to Sarah &amp; Eli with any questions about a plus one.✤ ✤ ✤

Are you registered at any stores?

We are registered at Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, &amp; Amazon, however, we are lucky to have a home filled with everything we need, so we are welcoming guests to instead contribute to our honeymoon fund. You can find our honeymoon fund on the registry page.✤ ✤ ✤

Can I still bring/send a wedding gift?

Absolutely! We will be extremely grateful for any gift given to us. We will have a cards/gifts table at the venue available.✤ ✤ ✤

Where can I send a wedding gift?

You can send any gifts/cards to our home address: 205 Columba Street Cochranville, PA 19330. You may also bring your gift/card to the venue.✤ ✤ ✤

What hotel will you be staying at?

We will be staying at the Cleveland Marriott East with the wedding party and family. The after-party will take place here and a shuttle service will be provided. ✤ ✤ ✤

Do you have a wedding block for a hotel?

As of 9/10/24 the wedding block rooms at a discounted rate at The Cleveland Marriott East are booked for the night of the wedding, however, you can still book a room at the regular rate. We have an overflow block of rooms at The A Loft, 5 minutes from Cleveland Marriott East, that you can book with rates ranging from $135-$159. More information is provided on the Travel page. You must book before September 20, 2024 to get the blocked rate! ✤ ✤ ✤

Will a shuttle be provided to and from the hotel?

Yes! There will be a shuttle transporting guests to and from the Cleveland Marriott East/venue. There is a also a shuttle that will transport A Loft guests to the Cleveland Marriott East to get on the shuttle to the venue. Detailed times will be provided on a welcome letter upon check-in at the hotels. ✤ ✤ ✤

Will there be an after party?

Yes! We will be continuing the party at the Cleveland Marriott East in the bar/restaurant area from 11:30 pm until close (2 am). Pizza will be provided and alcohol can be purchased at the bar. We welcome all guests to join us! ✤ ✤ ✤

The A Loft is located 5 minutes from the Cleveland Marriott East. It has overflow wedding block rooms at a discounted rate the night of the wedding. These rooms range between $135-$159.
