We first met sometime in middle school while attending Fellowship. From the beginning of high school, our friend groups gravitated towards each other and our friendship grew. Of course, there were jokes going around that we liked each other (typical high schoolers) but both of us denied it, despite the fact that it was obviously true. However, time passed and the timing never worked for us to date. We went our separate ways in college and rarely talked.

In 2020, this all changed when we were sent home from college during Covid. We both were single for the first time in a while, and reconnected at a friend's birthday party (shout out Casey Barham). We knew it was finally time to go on a date! We chose to date long distance and make the drive from Athens to Tuscaloosa. We did 2.5 years of this until Sarah moved home in December of 2022.

Two days before our 4 year anniversary, Matt proposed. At the time of the wedding, we will have been together for almost 5 years! We cannot wait to be married and start our lives together. We hope all of you can make it and celebrate with us!
