Our Wedding

Sarah and Michael met in Baton Rouge through mutual friends in 2015. Soon after, we became best friends; telling each other everything, spending more time together, and growing closer day by day. It took some time, but we started dating in August 2020. From then on, it was smooth sailing. One cat and one kid later, we were engaged! So here we are. Engaged in December 2023, a year and a half later, we welcomed our guest to come celebrate our love with us and excited to bring everyone together for the love we cherish.

Hi, I'm Ashley! I actually met Sarah 6 years ago through Michael & ever since, she's been one of my best friends. Sarah is the type of person who loves everyone around her and always wants to make sure we are taken care of. I know she is going to be a beautiful bride and cannot wait to celebrate her love! Sarah has been my rock through so many things, and I am forver thankful for Michael because he introduced me to one of my favorite people ever. One of my favorite things about my friendship with Sarah is that every time we talk, it's like absolutely no time has passsed, and sometimes time has literally no passed, LOL. Sarah and Michael I am so excited for this next chapter in your life and I can't wait to see all chapters to follow. 

Ashley Swartzendruber

Hi! I'm Devin, Sarah's Maid of Honor (still can't believe I get to say that). Sarah and I met in 2010 during freshmen year of high school. Fifteen years later, I get to stand by her side while she marries the love of her life. Michael and Sarah have created a love so deep that can be seen through Myles. To be included in any part of their lives is a privilege, and I've been lucky enough to take place in a lot of moments throughout. I can't wait to be by them on their special day, and neither can my liver (we are preparing accordingly).

Devin Guthrie-Brown 

Hi- I'm Alex! 
Sarah was the first friend I made when I moved to Louisiana- and thank god for that, because she made those few years way more fun (and way less awkward). We worked together for three years, laughed through chaos, bonded over our inability to be decisive, and somewhere along the way she became my best friend. We don't talk every single day (you know...kids!), but when we do, it's like no time has passed and everything feels right again. I'm beyond lucky to be part of her big day- bring on the happy tears and dance floor memories!

Hi everyone - my name is Kellyn LaCour-Conant and I'm thrilled to be one of Sarah's bridesmaids! I live in Baton Rouge where I'm finishing my PhD at Southern University and work as a restoration ecologist. I first met Michael and Sarah in 2019 playing beach volleyball back in the Oasis days. We were soon thick as thieves! We bonded over game nights and glasses of wine, surviving COVID, hurricanes, and more by keeping each other laughing. Sarah and Michael are both such kind, intelligent, and genuine souls, and the love they show each other and have grown in their family is a joy to witness. Their friendship has been a blessing over the years and I'm so excited to celebrate their marriage with them on their special day. Cheers to the happy couple!

Kellyn LaCour-Conant 

Hi, my name is Morgan Evans! I am honored to be able to be a part of Michael and Sarah's wedding. I don't even remember meeting Michael, I've known him so long. Growing up with him and Matthew, it felt like I had two bonus brothers. Our families have been on countless trips together, from cruises to Cedar Point! Then, we all planned a ski trip and that's when Sarah joined our tribe. I knew Sarah and Michael were a great match from the start. She fell right into out family without skipping a  beat. Since then, Sarah has become one of my dearest friends. From books to musicals, we could talk for hours and we do often lol. I love you both so much and cannot wait to celebrate you guys.

Morgan Evans 

This is Matthew, twin brother of the groom. Michael is literally the person who has been there all my life and happy to have a best friend to go through life. There are thousands of adventures that would take too long to list out in this description, but for a few that always stands out are our family beach trips and our many amusement parks trips to Kings Dominion, Universal Studios, Cedar Point, and the Disney Parks. I’m so happy he is marrying his soulmate and for the family to grow and for Sarah and Myles to get to add to his life’s adventure.

Matthew McCloskey

Michel isn’t just one of my oldest friends. He is my brother. Through countless memories growing up I’ve always had Michael and Matthew to count on for anything. It’s been amazing watching Michael grow into a loving father and now a loving husband! I am honored to stand by him on his big day! Congrats to you and Sarah both!!!!

Jacob Evans 

Where do I even begin? Michael and Sarah are two of the greatest people I know. I first met Michael my freshman year of LSU Tiger Band where we were both saxophones, and then became roommates through our friendship. Michael also introduced me to some really great guys who I now consider to be my closest friends. We met Sarah that same year through mutual friends. Sarah has always been fun-spirited and can hold her own against the guys! She has been there for all the important moments of our lives for the last twelve years. I love these two dearly, it makes me happy knowing that they are living amazing lives and are raising a wonderful young man. In summary, I feel blessed to have been introduced to these incredible friends and I know I’m a better person for having them in my life.


Evan Caffey

My name's Hunter! Michael and I met when we were in our 20s, and he quickly grew to become one of my closest friends. Some of my fondest memories are when me, Michael, and the boys all hung out and got into whatever debauchery we could think of! I have known both him and Sarah for years, and I cannot begin to express how excited I am to finally celebrate this special day with them. They are some of my favorite people and deserve all the happiness and love in the world!

Hunter Marino

I met michael my Junior year at LSU through a random roommate matching service. Prior to moving in with him, I just happened to run into him at the gym while going after the same machine. We hit it off right away and the rest is history as they say! Michael and I have grown really close over the past 8 years and bonus points because our wives love each other too! Wishing Michael and Sarah the best and I’m so happy to be a part of their special day!

Aaron Swartzendruber

I'm Derrick, and I've had the pleasure of knowing both Sarah and Michael long before they ever got together. I met Michael 13 years ago at LSU when I joined Kappa Kappa Psi. After years of bonding through hilarious shenanigans and mutual roasting, I think it's safe to say that our friendship means the world to me and that Michael is like a brother to me in more than just the fraternal sense. A few years after meeting Michael, I became coworkers with Sarah. Working in the restaurant industry can be hellish, but it often connects you with people who'll have a lasting impact on your life. Sarah is, without a doubt, one of those people and has been a ride or die friend since the beginning.

It felt like such a blessing to be chosen as the officiant for Michael and Sarah's wedding. It is an honor that I have cherished every moment since they first asked. As friends, we've been there for each other through many of life's ups and downs, so I'm excited to be there on their special day to celebrate my friends and the incredible love they've found with each other.
