In 2020, when the whole world came to a halt due to Covid, everyone's travel plans were canceled at the drop of a hat. In June of that year instead of going on a big trip, Sarah decided to visit a friend in Virginia. One night they asked if their D&D group could come over. She of course said yes.

In walks Luke, well kind of, he walked in for just a second before he was told there was a wasp in the hallway and ran out to go see it. (For everyone curious his character was a mad scientist who would strap explosives to himself.)

After that night we started talking more and more, first on Discord and then through text messages. Eventually, on October 25th, 2020, we officially started dating.

The first time we ever said "I love you", Sarah said it by accident at the end of a phone call. Which resulted in her screaming "AHHHH NO" and quickly hanging up. Very romantic I know.

Despite being in a long-distance relationship (with a lot of plane rides) for almost three years, we moved in together. We currently live in a townhouse in Inwood, West Virginia with our dog Lilly.
