Q + A

When is the RSVP deadline?

Sunday, June 15

Where should we stay?

There are many hotels and Airbnbs/VRBO rentals in St. Paul and the surrounding cities of Minneapolis, Roseville, Eagan, Maplewood, etc. The wedding party and immediate families will be staying in historic rental homes near the venue. Whether you plan to book a hotel or home rental, we recommend looking and booking early. A big music fest called "Minnesota Yacht Club Festival" is taking place in St. Paul the same weekend so rooms are filling up quickly. We do not have an official block of rooms reserved, but we recommend the following list of hotels.

Feeling Fancy?

The St. Paul Hotel (3 night minimum)

2.3 miles away | around $300-$400/night

Want to get your shop on?

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mall of America

10 miles away | around $150/night

Hyatt Regency Bloomington

8 miles away | around $150/night

Many other hotels near the Mall of America are available!

Want to be near the Mississippi River & pet friendly?

Hyatt Place | 3 miles away | around $350/night

Stay in a beautifully converted convent?

Celeste of St. Paul | 3 miles away | around $200-$300/night

When should we arrive?

Guest arrival will begin at 4:00pm. Our ceremony will take place promptly at 4:30pm.

Will we be outdoors?

Yes! Weather pending of course, but plan for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in the backyard garden of our venue. Dinner & dancing will take place indoors.

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones, but we want our wedding day to be an adult-only affair.

Can I bring a guest?

Due to venue capacity restrictions, we ask that only guests who are formally invited attend. When you receive an invitation, it will be addressed to the guests who we have spots reserved for. You will also be able to see your party’s full detail when you complete our online RSVP form.

What should I wear?

Our official dress code is cocktail attire (i.e. suit for men, long, midi, or short dress for women), but dress in what makes you feel dressed up and ready to party! The bridesmaids will be in a mix of blue florals and frills! We plan to do our ceremony and cocktail hour outside, so plan for the potential heat/humidity of a July evening in Minnesota. The backyard space will be shaded.

What's the parking situation?

There is ample and free street parking on both sides of Summit Avenue. There is also handicap accessible parking in the back of the Mansion for about 6-9 cars, so please let us know in advance if you would like to use one of these spaces. Overnight parking in the lot is available until 10am then next day.

Why is it called "The St. Paul College Club"?

Our venue dates back to 1848 when it was first used as a family home. The Georgian Revival-style home was then purchased by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in 1949 and remains under its ownership to this day. Not only is the space a beautifully charming mansion on Summit Avenue, but the proceeds from weddings held here are used to support educational equality and opportunities for women.
