If you ask Patrick: We met on Bumble, of all places. She stung first with some (grammatically correct) Latin, and it was on from there. From our first date in a corn maze to getting engaged at sunrise on Folly Beach, it’s been a wild ride. Even with our busy work schedules, we prioritize each other and still find time to go have fun! We love to try a new restaurant or go see live music, but we’re just as happy curled up reading a book to each other. It’s all gone by in the blink of an eye but it feels like we’ve known each other forever. We’re so excited to see what the future brings.
If you ask Sarah: After graduating from residency and moving back to Columbia for the first time in 9 years, I decided I was ready for a new challenge: dating in my old hometown. I was hoping to find a guy who was close in age, had a job he loved, and had family nearby. Little did I know, I was about to meet someone who checked all those boxes and more. After easily impressing him with a little bit of high school Latin, we had a great first date at a corn maze which was later followed by back to back Sequoyah Prep School shows, multiple Gamecock sporting events, and even driving the whole Blue Ridge Parkway together. We quickly realized we made a great team and decided to make it official!
