We love spending time in the Fairfax area because of the abundance of outdoor activities accessible from town. We are planning on meeting anyone who is interested for a mountain bike ride on Friday at noon, and we've listed some of our favorite trails, parks and beaches if you're looking for some other ideas.
Mountain, road and gravel bikes can be rented in Fairfax at https://mountainbikesf.com/ or https://www.splitrocktapandwheel.com/.

Oak Manor (Mountain Biking):
Alpine Dam (Road Biking):
Follow winding Fairfax-Bolinas road through the redwoods to Alpine Dam. This road is popular with bikers and not used heavily by cars.
The options are endless, but these are a few ideas!

About 45 minutes away is our favorite beach to ride longboards, read a book or take a stroll - Bolinas! Park by the tennis courts and head out to this quiet hippy beach (once inhabitated by the famous Thomas Linden).
Popular Stinson Beach is just south of Bolinas and has more businesses and activity. We also recommend this beach!
