Important Details & FAQs

When is my RSVP due?

Please ensure you have RSVPed, following your formal invitation, by May 25, 2026. Unfortunately, after that date we won't be able to accept any additional RSVPs. We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide total guest counts to our venue and catering team in a timely manner.

Are children invited?

We love your little ones—but we kindly ask that you make arrangements for a kid-free evening. We're planning an adults-only celebration so everyone can relax, let loose, and enjoy the night with us! Thank you for understanding.

Can I bring a plus one?

Thank you so much for checking! If your invitation included a plus one, we’d love for you to bring them. If one was not included, we kindly ask that you come solo, as we’re keeping the celebration to close friends and family. We can only accommodate guests included on the invitation who have RSVPed by May 25, 2026. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

What is the dress code?

The dress code is formal attire - elevated, elegant. Women are encouraged to wear floor-length dresses, and men a suit and tie. Feel free to embrace vibrant colors that complement the setting. The bridal party will be in navy and the wedding colors are chartreuse, navy, lavender and sage. Please no denim.

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Short answer, both! The ceremony will take place in a greenhouse, cocktail hour outdoors with a covered patio and umbrellas, and the reception will be indoors. The beautiful grounds and outdoor space will be accessible throughout the festivities. All of the wedding events—from the ceremony to cocktail hour to reception celebration—will be held at the Ivy House in Saugatuck. No need to travel between venues; everything will happen in one beautiful location! (Address: 3291 Blue Star Hwy, Saugatuck, MI 49453).

When should we book accommodations?

We strongly encourage guests book accommodations as early as possible. Our wedding takes place over a holiday weekend in a charming, high-demand beach town where lodging fills up quickly and has already begun booking for our dates. To ensure availability and the best selection, we recommend securing your stay well in advance—there truly is no such thing as booking too early. The earlier the better!

Where should we book accommodations?

There’s no shortage of wonderful places to stay in Saugatuck, as well as the neighboring areas of Douglas and Holland. While we do not have a dedicated room block due to the intimate size of our wedding, we've put together a helpful accommodations guide to make your planning easier. We recommend booking ASAP, especially since the wedding falls on a holiday weekend! What’s the best airport to fly into, and how do we get to Saugatuck?

The closest airport to Saugatuck is Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) in Grand Rapids, which is about a 45-minute drive away. If you’re flying in from farther out, Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and Chicago’s O’Hare (ORD) or Midway (MDW) are also options—each about 2.5 to 3 hours away by car. Driving distances for those hitting the road: From Cleveland: ~4.5 hours From Nashville: ~7 hours No matter how you get here, we can’t wait to welcome you!

Can we park onsite? Will there be provided transportation?

Onsite parking will be available at the Ivy House. Please note that rideshare options in Saugatuck can be limited due to the town’s small size. To ensure a safe and stress-free evening (it is an open bar, after all!), we’ve arranged trolley transportation for our guests. The trolley will pick up guests at 3:30 PM ET from Saugatuck High School (401 Elizabeth St, Saugatuck, MI 49453), where you are welcome to park your vehicle. At the end of the evening, the trolley will run continuous return trips, beginning at 9:30pm, to the high school, as well as to a TBD location in Holland for guests staying in the neighboring town. The final trolley departure will be at 11:30 PM ET.

Will the ceremony be unplugged, and how will photos be shared afterward?

We will be having an unplugged ceremony (no phones or cameras in the ceremony space) so everyone can be fully present—and our photos can be free of cell phones in the background. We promise you won’t miss a thing! Our photographer is incredible, and after the wedding we’ll share a link with all the high-resolution images for you to download and enjoy. Please feel free to tuck your phones away and simply share this special moment with us. After the ceremony, snap away!
