I wanted to share Tyler and I’s story because I think it’s quite special and crazy how God worked to bring the two of us together.
We started dating on September 9th 2023 but that’s not where our story began. He had apparently knew me from school because we rode the same bus for a little bit but I had no idea he even existed but apparently he had noticed me. Then about 2 years before we started dating he reached out to me and we started talking and getting to know each other. We FaceTimed a couple times and even met up one time at the pet store to get fish. I had no idea that he was interested in me so it never became anything else. We stopped talking and that was that and least that’s what I thought. He reached back out to me the beginning of September and he pretty much told me he just wanted a friend to talk to and so we started talking and when we first hung out after so long we just clicked it felt like it was just meant to be. I ended up meeting his parents first and then when he came over to take me out on a date and that’s when he met mine. Come to find out we were way more connected than we both knew. My mom and nana knew his grandmother and even remembers his mom from when my mom and nana and the ladies in my family would go to different churches to sing. That’s the not only way though my Aunt Mattie had made Tyler a baby blanket when he was born. On September 9th he asked me to be his girlfriend. Little did I know that 2 1/2 months later he would be asking me to marry him. On November 23, 2023, it was just a normal thanksgiving day to me but to him it was so much more. He asked me to marry him in front of my whole family after he gave the sweetest speech ever. I honestly couldn’t believe and sometimes I still can’t believe it. Still to this day I replay that day over and over in my head. Now here we are planning a wedding and it’s May with only a few months to go. I can’t wait to marry my best friend and the man that I’ve grown to love so much. I thank God for bringing him into my life, he has brought my smile back. We are both so excited to share and celebrate our special day with all of you.
