Our Wedding

﻿We were both born and raised in Prince Rupert, so truthfully… there’s never really been a time we didn’t know each other. Marcus grew up playing hockey with Sarah’s younger brother — yes, younger. Our paths truly began to intertwine when we both started our firefighting careers in Port Edward. Sarah had just begun volunteering, and somehow, we kept finding reasons to spend time together — and we never really stopped. Like many love stories of 2021, ours blossomed in the quiet of the pandemic. There were long walks, coffee runs, and cozy evenings with takeout on the couch before we ever shared our first real sit-down date. By the time that came, though, our hearts already knew — this was it. On March 1, 2025, we chose to elope — just the two of us — exchanging vows in the most simple and intimate way, a promise held between us alone. And now, one year later, it feels even more meaningful to be here, surrounded by the people who have been part of our lives and our story all along, celebrating not just our marriage, but the love that has carried us to this moment.
