Colten and Sarah’s relationship started out slowly and what seemed to be nothing more than a simple friendship, over time that would prove to be far from the case. Colten and Sarah both grew up in Greenville, SC where they attended the same elementary school, middle school, high school and eventually the same University.


They both attended high school at J.L. Mann and would quickly realize their friend groups overlapped. It was the same as a lot of other people, they would see each other occasionally on the weekends out with friends but it was nothing more than a friendly hello and quick conversation. This friendship continued until they both graduated in 2017 and would eventually see themselves attend Clemson University.


Sarah started off her college career playing volleyball at Erskine College and would eventually transfer to Clemson. Colten similarly started out at a different school and transferred in to Clemson his Junior year. Colten’s best friend and best man, Luke, also attended Clemson. He would go visit Luke almost weekly and do what normal college students do. The more he visited the quicker he realized that he was seeing much more of Sarah as her and Luke were very good friends.


As the visits to Clemson grew larger in number so did Sarah and Colten’s friendship. They did everything together from going out with friends to walks around campus. Their bond slowly grew from a friendship to something that both of them felt could be much bigger. Months had passed by them where they were enjoying every moment and making many memories but something quickly dawned on Colten as he realized the closer they came to graduation the less time he had with Sarah. At the risk of losing her for good after graduation he brought up the conversation that would change his life forever.

The rest is history and they continue to spend every moment together making many new memories every day. They cannot wait to celebrate this huge milestone in their lives with their closest family and friends in July.
