In the spring of 2021 as people began to step back into a changed world, two neighbors stepped into each others world, and changed their own lives forever.

Sarah and Shawn lived five houses away from each other for three years and never had the fortune of meeting. Sarah was living with her princess Kanga, a miniature pinscher pug mix and Shawn had recently adopted a mixed breed energetic puppy, Kona. One fateful night, as they were walking their dogs, they finally met. Sparks immediately flew (while both assured the other they were vaccinated).

After a puppy playdate a few weeks later, where the girls and our couple got to know each other better, Shawn and Sarah had their first official date on May 21st. They walked down to the local bar and watched the Bruins defeat the Capitals 4-1 in Game 4 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Buffalo wings and beers were ordered.

More dates and dog walks followed, and soon they realized how perfectly they all fit together. Kona wanted nothing more than to visit Sarah whenever she walked by her house, and Kanga would snuggle up to Shawn whenever given the chance.

Dates and dog walks turned into trips and adventures. Journeys to Vermont, Miami, New Hampshire, Cape Cod, Aruba, Maine, Grand Rapids, and New Jersey followed, with many more destinations to go.

But just like with any Hallmark movie, it wasn’t all quite a fairytale. There were challenges and pitfalls, but Sarah and Shawn faced them together as a team and are more than prepared for whatever life may throw at them next.

On December 22nd, 2023 with the lights of the Christmas tree sparkling and candles glowing, Shawn nervously began preparing to propose. He tucked the ring in a stocking, hit play on a favorite Christmas song of theirs and waited for Sarah to enter the room. She did not cooperate…. Sarah was getting ready for their special night out for Shawn’s Birthday and was wondering why Shawn kept replaying the same song over and over.

Dogs on the couch relaxing by the lit Christmas tree. Sarah finally came to see what Shawn was up too. To her surprise, he knelt down and asked the question that would again change their lives forever. Of course she said yes! And yes, the dogs approved too!!

With their special day fast approaching, Sarah and Shawn are so excited to celebrate with all their Family, Friends and Loved Ones.
