our story starts quite simply - as friends completely oblivious to the future ahead. we met first as a freshman and a sophomore in study hall together, laughing and being silly.

the sweetest surpise party for my best friend claudia turned our first time getting to know each other with our hearts turned toward the possibility of a relationship. the start of a new beginning.

a series of sweet dates turned into josh asking me to be his girlfriend on may 20, 2021. officially a couple!

the first summer of our relationship - only worried about being young and together.

the first school dance of many! 10 days before this came the first "i love you" of the rest of our lives.

thus began the journey of calling each and every night, with a few exceptions. this is a tradition we have clung to for the past 4 years - through long-distance and all!

we are both so grateful for each small memory made in high school. we loved to go on short weekend adventures exploring together!

sarah graduates! so with that, the summer before sarah moves to Indiana for college begins!

sarah moves to grace college, indiana! and so begins 3 years of long distance, the highs and lows. the beauty of it all is knowing and loving each other more while pursuing Jesus and where He calls us.

we learned to appreciate the small things during long-distance! we are especially grateful for the opportunities to fall more and more in love with each other - during distance and in the sweet weekend adventures we found ourselves on.

then came the summer. we love the summer because we don't have to live 5 hours apart. this summer we got the opportunity to fall in love with traveling together!

time for sarah to go back to grace college and josh to start his freshman year at asbury university in kentucky.

again came the opportunity to build our communities of faith and friends and support one another on the weekends!

our story is one that has God's handiwork all over it. distance challenges us each and every day, but we knew God gave us each other for a reason.

sarah graduates college with her undergrad! this summer would become the beginning of a new chapter in our relationship!

ENGAGED! saying yes to a lifetime more of each other by our side!

we got the opportunity to serve on a mission trip in liberia, west africa this summer! a blessing to be able to share the Gospel and explore the Lord's calling on our lives together.

the beginning of our forever starts on our wedding day! thank you for your support, we are endlessly grateful for our community of support! we are so excited to celebrate together!
