the maid of honor - katie mercanti

My one and only younger sister, Katie, has been by my side for as long as I can remember:

At every Broadway show, at every Jonas Brothers or Beyonce concert singing along to every song; on 14-hour drives to the Carolinas every summer for over 20 years; in every conversation successfully finding ways to quote our favorite movies and TV shows...

Through Saturday morning dance classes, high school drama rehearsals, trips to Disney World, Nashville, and even that one 4th of July in 2021 she let me tag along with her to the Jersey Shore....

While we share so many things, I am extraordinarily proud of the beautiful, bold individual she has become: a proud Fordham alum, a partnerships manager at a major Broadway marketing agency, a hostess with the mostest, and a loving fur-sibling to our two family pups, Luigi & Scout (Katie happened to name them both).

She's hardworking and hilarious; she's the first person to tell me I'm overthinking it and remind me to do what's best for me; her glass face immediately reveals when something's off.

She's my best friend and the PERFECT Maid of Honor. I couldn't imagine anyone else beside me on this special day.

Love you, Boosh,

Sa

the best man - Steven W. Godoy

I’m honored to have my older brother, Steven, with me on this pivotal day.

For me, life has endless moments and each have their own impressions, big and small, but few are as important as marriage. Steven was the only one I felt should share in this moment with me.

Steven and I have a little larger an age difference than most; we are 4 years apart, and growing up that at times was difficult. As I was entering a new phase of life, Steven was leaving for the next phase of his. We never seemed to be facing the same challenges at the same time. I am, however, happy for this because he helped forge a path that I’m unsure I could have done on my own. He set an example; a blueprint to follow on how to be a strong and kind man with the courage of his convictions.

Steven, you’ve always been a hard act to follow but that’s what big brothers do, and for that, I’m forever grateful.

Love, your little brother, Jonathan
