Please plan to stop by to say hello, enjoy a snack, have a drink or two, and grab a welcome bag. We will meet at the Wedding Garden Pavilion. Update: Although the availability is EXTREMELY limited at both resorts, if you reach out to Kathy and let her know you want to attend, she will keep her eye on any rooms that become available and reach out if/when that happens to move forward with booking. She is also aware of other great options in the area within close proximity to Sandals! There are two Sandals Resorts in Barbados and they are right next to each other! For all intents and purposes, they are the same resort. We will be at Sandals Barbados but Sandals Royal Barbados is another options for guests. Regardless of which resort your room is in, you can access all amenities. The quotes are based on rooms for two people arriving on Saturday, November 6, but you can arrive &amp; depart whenever works best for you! For now, the first step would be to reserve a room through our travel agent and pay the deposit (flat rate $400 towards the cost of the room plus the insurance you want- $99 per person for travel credits or between $189- $379 per person based on cost of room for cash refund) so you can secure your preferred room choice while they are available. The remaining amount is not due until fall of 2021. Insurance information is included in the links below. You would be flying into Bridgetown/Grantley Adams Airport, which is only 15 minutes away. All transportation is included and Sandals is an all inclusive resort. All booking must go through Kathy Jones so you are counted as a part of the wedding guest list! AAA offers the exact same cost as Sandals plus extra deals. You will receive a $50 credit towards excursions and a check or gift card based on the total cost. <a href="https:" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">AAA Promotion</a> If you book on your own you still need to let her know within 2 weeks or you will not be counted as part of our wedding which throws off our planning, and you will not receive a $50 credit towards excursions or be eligible for any AAA promotions. The story of our relationship is best conveyed by starting in the middle of our journey. We had been dating for over a year and just returned to Ryan and Tabi’s house after a night out in South Philly. The four of us took turns DJ’ing our favorite throwback hit music videos on YouTube. Nick thoughtfully dedicated Rascal Flatt’s 2000 ballad, “God Blessed the Broken Road” to Sarah and began to serenade her. Sarah responded bluntly, “I freaking hate this song.” We now reflect on our blessed broken roads that lead us straight to each other. Sarah was fiercely independent, living and working in Philly, and wasn’t slowing down during her summers off while she backpacked across Europe and chased sloths in South America. She faced some speed bumps as a teacher, but her determination pushed her into a Vice Principal role for a charter school. Her life was equivalent to willing her way through a sea of cars and obstacles on 76 East and finally reaching the Wildwoods Beach exit off of the AC expressway. She had an established career, a sweet house in South Philly, and was ready to start dating seriously...online. Nick’s life was like breezing down an open road, but eventually getting lost with Stevie Wonder reading the MapQuest directions. He felt lucky to be graduating college with a job, which was a rare commodity in 2010. However, his first official day as “Assistant Manager Nick” consisted of his Walmart associates stealing his lunch from the staff fridge, and he quickly felt like he missed a turn and should ask for directions. Eventually, he downloaded Google Maps and found his way: he bought a house in Conshohocken and landed his dream job in medical sales. He hopped on the dating app, Hinge, curious as to where it would lead him. Sarah “liked” one of Nick’s photos on Hinge-a picstitch of the Bojda brothers dawning ugly Christmas sweaters in 1997 and a 2017 rendition of the siblings in the same sweaters. She thought they looked adorable and her family had recently done the same thing at her grandfather’s cabin. We clicked during our first date over holiday cocktails at ITV and decided to see each other again. The only red-flag was that Sarah mentioned being a pescatarian, and Nick shivered thinking about deviating from his carnivore diet of steak and chicken. Nick learned how to grill Beyond Burgers and we officially became a couple. Subsequently, Nick never being outspoken about his feelings, knew Sarah was special; luckily she dropped the “L” word first during a winery getaway in the Finger Lakes. The next week, our love was reconfirmed when Sarah spent two days in a college dorm with Nick and his friends at the University of Delaware’s Alumni Weekend. Nick was impressed that not only did she not complain, she actually had fun! We have many common interests-traveling, hiking, reading, music videos, Epic Church, visiting with friends and family, watching football (although Sarah keeps it to the Eagles game while Nick enjoys all of them, especially the Cowboys), and guilty pleasure TV shows. However, our love of fun is the underlying theme. No matter where we go or what we do, we always have a good time together. When we considered wedding venues, we came to the conclusion that a destination wedding perfectly suits our personalities and sums up our relationship. To us, living our best life is living it like we’re on vacation surrounded by our family and friends!
