The resort is designed for families and friends to stay together in cabins or suites. While we would love to have you stay on-site and hang out with the bridal party, family and friends all weekend, we understand it may not be possible or convenient.
We have a hotel block at the Fairfield Inn & Suites- Stroudsburg (see our travel page for more). The hotel is a quick 15 minute drive from Mountain Springs Lake Resort where most of the weekend's activities will occur.
You are welcome to drive to the events - there is ample parking available at MSL. If you do book a cabin or suite at Mountain Springs Lake, please let us know your cabin or suite number!
The resort is beautiful and peaceful! There is a small lake with 2 beaches where you can hang or go for a swim. Each cabin rental comes with access to a row boat for guest use. There are also tennis courts for those who want to take a swing before the big day as well as a nature trail that loops around the lake. The lake is stocked and great for fishing.
Newark (EWR) and Philadelphia (PHL) are the closest big airports. Newark is about 1 hour and 25 minutes from Mountain Springs Lake and Philadelphia International is about 1 hour and 45 minutes driving time. If coming from San Francisco - United from SFO to EWR is probably your best option as both are United hubs.
Lehigh Valley International (ABE) is a very convenient option and for those coming from the east coast and midwest - there are direct flights multiple times/day.
Scranton/Wilkes Barre International Airport (AVP) is also only about an hour from the wedding venue, however, there are limited flight options as it is a small airport.
We're just as new around here as you are, but we did our due diligence and asked all the locals we could find. Here's what we came up with:
1. Rooster's Meat Barn & Deli (located on 715 right across from the entrance to Mountain Springs Drive) - Open Monday thru Saturday from 7AM-3PM. Breakfast and Lunch. Don't let the catchy name scare you, this place is excellent. Try the Hot BLT Sandwich :) FYI - Roosters is cash-only.
2. Cook's Corner - about a 10 minute drive on Route 715. Cook's Corner only serves breakfast on Sunday mornings from 7AM to 11:15AM and then lunch from 11:15AM to 8PM. Cook's is open for lunch/dinner Wednesday through Saturday from 11AM to 8PM.
3. Timbers Pub & Grill- More traditional bar food options but something for everyone. Located DIRECTLY across from the entrance to Mountain Springs Drive from Route 715. Open Friday and Saturday at 11AM and Sunday at 12PM.
4. Nick's Big Belly Deli - Just past the Crossings Shopping Outlet, Nick's is a deli with a ton of options for breakfast and lunch. Opens Friday and Saturday at 7AM - closed on Sundays.
5. Zack's Taco Shack - Compact, down-to-earth taco window with a few outdoor tables & inventive Mexican eats.
1. A flashlight or a headlamp- The resort is dark at night - great for stargazing, not so great for path finding.
2. BYOB (bring your own blanket) - Pack warm layers or a blanket for sitting outside as it might get cold at night and sitting around the fire pit is always more comfortable with a blanket.
3. Camp chairs for the beach, the after party and Sunday's farewell breakfast. We want this to be a time to celebrate, but also recognize that boogying can be tiring. There is ample seating at the Orchard but sitting close to the fire pit might be a hot ticket item. If you have some camp chairs that are convenient to bring - you won't regret it!
