On this day, Kamil commissions as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. He is now heading to Fort Knox, Kentucky to serve as an instructor to the cadets attending Summer Camp. Kamil and Sarah have no idea each other exist.

Sarah is a cadet in her ROTC program in college and attends summer camp. She spots Kamil immediately but since Kamil is an officer/ instructor of the camp, she knows she cannot approach Kamil. Kamil has no idea Sarah is googly-eyeing Kamil while camp is in session. Sarah knows who Kamil is but Kamil has no idea who Sarah is.

Camp is over by this time so Sarah finds Kamil on social media (his unique first and last name made it really easy) and slid in the DMs a couple times- in the end to be rejected by Kamil. Life goes on and Kamil continues to live his best life in Korea and Sarah is finishing up college. Sarah and Kamil have no communication or connection.

Over a year passes and Kamil promotes to 1LT and Sarah is scrolling on Instagram. She decides to send one last DM to him saying “congratulations!”. Not really expecting anything from it, Kamil surprisingly took bait. Finally! Sarah and Kamil continue to chat via social media/text when Kamil eventually invites her to a family wedding…

Although the wedding was moved to another time, Sarah decided to still visit Kamil and they officially became a couple on this day. Sarah graduates from college soon and is stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina alongside Kamil. They begin life as a couple.

Kamil and Sarah share many memories over the next few years together including swimming with sharks, trips to multiple states all over the country, many hikes and more.

Kamil proposes to Sarah and their new life as an engaged couple begins.
