We can hardly contain our excitement about having you join us for a grand celebration at Kilkea Castle! As we prepare to tie the knot, we want to share all the craic (fun) we have planned for you during our wedding festivities.
Special Request: Stay in the Castle!
We have a special request for the night of the wedding. We are on the hook financially for the castle rooms, and in lieu of gifts, we would truly appreciate it if you could book one of the remaining six rooms. It’s a CASTLE! For those staying in a lodge, the difference would be 161 euros, and for those in the carriage rooms, it would be 119 euros. You can check out of your previous room at 12:30 PM, and your bags will be moved to your new room in the castle—like the royalty you are!

Sunday, September 8: Check-In
• Check-In Time: 3:00 PM
•We’ll arrive a wee bit early, so if you need a hand with your bags, the castle has got you covered!
• Grab your grab back at check-in and explore the grounds!
Monday, September 9: Day Before the Wedding
10 am - Golf: Casey will email the golfers who have already signed up. We still have slots available! Email us immediately if you want to play. FYI - you can rent clubs from the pro shop.
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Welcome Event at Bread and Beer
• Join us for a grand ‘Eat and Greet’! Meet family and friends while enjoying light bites, drinks, and a touch of Irish hospitality with toasts and laughter.
Attire: Elevated casual - a blend of style and comfort. Make sure to check the weather every day. Ireland can show you all four seasons in one day.
Tuesday, September 10: Wedding Day
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Ceremony
• Location: Rose Garden
• Witness our vows, ring exchange, and a fairytale moment in this enchanting setting.
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Cocktail Hour and Photos
• Location: Castle Grounds
• Enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment while we take photos around the grounds.
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Dinner Service
• Location: 1180 Restaurant (Castle)
• Indulge in a feast fit for kings and queens, a 5-course sit-down dinner with optional speeches that will bring smiles and maybe a tear or two.
• Children will be offered a separate meal with a Starter: Garlic Bread, Main Course Chicken Goujons & Chips, and Dessert: Selection of Ice Cream. If you have a baby, please provide your food and have them sit on your lap or talk to the castle about high chairs.
If you have any dietary requirements– let me know ASAP. I will do my best to accommodate.
7:00 PM – Until Whenever You Want: Dancing and Entertainment
• Location: Baronial Reception
• The dance floor will be open, so bring your best moves for a night filled with music and merriment!
Wednesday, September 11 and beyond!
We will be heading to an Airbnb in Dublin! Please reach out if you would like to meet up for a frolic and a frothy pint in the Temple Bar area.
Additional Shenanigans:
• Taxis: Can be booked at the front desk.
• Meals: The food and beverage team will be in touch for meal pre-booking. Reach them at foodbeverage@kilkeacastle.ie.
• Payment: Please leave a pre-auth or pay as you go.
