Mike and Sarah met at 11 years old at Camp JIM and became friends and pen pals for many years visiting each others cities and writing letters through high school. Losing touch after high school when Mike moved to North Dakota for school.

Sarah and mike reconnected in 2018 when Mike reached out while working and living in Minneapolis and they're friendship quickly rekindled . Spending many weekends together hiking, hanging out, and attending museum exhibits; in May of 2020 Sarah and Mike chose to start dating and a wonderful relationship of fun, adventure, trust, love, friends, support, passion, communication, and laughter quickly came from it.

In the summer of 2021 after a lot of discussion and Mike expressing his repeated desire to live together Sarah relocated to Brainers and in November of 2021 feeling that marriage was not going to be a part of future plans but with every thought of being together for many years to come Mike and Sarah chose to exchange commitment rings.

In late May of 2023 when it seemed that the topic of marriage was coming up naturally in conversations more and more Mike and Sarah decided it was time to get married and planning began!
