Our Wedding

Sarah and Grant met in Wilmington, NC in 2022. They had their first date in Wilmington and quickly connected through their mutual relationships and each other’s military backgrounds. They also came to value each other’s company and sense of humor. Grant told Sarah he would be deploying in 2023 for nine months and by some miracle, Sarah was still interested! Grant and Sarah came to spend many hours on the road between Fayetteville and Wilmington to continue to see each other. By August 2023, Grant and Sarah knew that they found the one and agreed that they should be married. Grant bought the ring before he had talked to Sarah’s father. When Grant asked Kurt’s permission to marry his daughter, he asked, “Do you already have a ring?” Grant replied yes, to which Kurt responded, “What are you gonna do if I say no?” Grant said, “I’ll hold onto it until you say yes!” Sarah said yes on September 7th, on Wrightsville Beach and just 20 days later, Grant departed for Iraq. Letters, emails, and FaceTime calls helped them overcome the distance. Grant and Sarah look forward to starting the next chapter of their lives together, first in Alabama and next in Hawaii.

The Town of Garner offers ample street parking with less than a two minute walk to The Distillery.

Attire 

Formal AttireBoth the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

Arrival

We kindly ask that you arrive no earlier than 3:30pm.The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm.

Unplugged Ceremony

We invite you to be fully present with us during our ceremony. We kindly request our guests to turn off their phones and cameras.
