Our story began in 2022 when Sarah was working her first full-time job as a licensed physical therapist in Frederick, MD. Matt just so happened to be completing his final clinical rotation in Maryland and our paths crossed (although Matt will tell you Sarah was his clinical instructor, this is not true!). And thank goodness for that, because HR would have had something to say about it. All jokes aside, what started as a friendship blossomed into something more special. Disclaimer: no romantic interests were pursued until the end of Matt's clinical rotation :)

However, this means that nearly the whole first year of Matt and Sarah's relationship was long-distance. We each took turns driving to visit one another on the weekends. This led to a lot of mileage on our cars and as much quality time spent together as our schedules allowed. With Matt finishing school, taking boards, and beginning his first job and Sarah still working full-time, it was exhausting but worth it. In March of 2023, Sarah finally made the big move up to PA.

While the start of the relationship may have been unconventional, it was only made stronger by the distance and our commitment was apparent from the beginning. We are so excited to share our story with you and take the next big step not far from where we first met.
