<p>Met in college through mutual friends. Young and naïve we became engaged way too fast. Similar to a summer fling it ended quickly. I broke his heart. We went our separate ways for the next 30 years. Facebook reconnected us and it was like nothing had changed but long distance is hard. Couple of visits cemented the notion that we were meant to be. After six months of dating, I left my family and the city I'd grown up in and moved to Kentucky to live with Patrick. Three months later he proposed as only he can--with the aid of the Macy's department store Santa. I said yes! and here we are.</p>
