In April of 2021, Sarah found herself heading to what she believed was a "BBQ" at Tim's place, courtesy of an invitation from her long-time friend, Lea. Despite initial reluctance, curiosity and a bit of coaxing led her to accept, envisioning good food, music and fun. Instead, she was greeted by an intimate setup that felt more like a setup for a blind date than the large party she had anticipated. The evening, however, unfolded beautifully as Tim and Sarah connected effortlessly, sharing laughter, stories, and songs, delighting in the warmth of newfound companionship.

By May of 2021, their bond had deepened sufficiently for them to decide to embark on a journey together as a couple. Over the next two years, Tim and Sarah nurtured their partnership, weaving together the fabric of their families into a cohesive whole. The culmination of their love story was marked by a heartfelt proposal in July of 2023. With Tim's son, Miles, and Sarah's daughter, Simone, as witnesses, Tim asked Sarah to join him in a lifelong partnership, symbolizing not just the union of two hearts but the blending of two families into one.
