Caitlin Summerour - Maid of Honor
My best friend and the sister I never had. I am the grateful recipient of this girl's kindness, selflessness, and companionship. From Brazil to Pennsylvania to Charleston and many places in between, Caitlin is my biggest confidant and definitely our number one fan. She was the first one to know I had a crush on Manuel :)
Elías Calisto - Best Man
Probably the man I look up to the most in life. He never stops reading new things which for me means that I never stop learning. We have been through so many things together in life and I have learned (and copied) so many valuable things from him. I couldn't have asked for a better big brother and role model. Favorite memory: watching you play Crash Bandicoot on our PS1 in Ecuador.
Kelsey Beck - Bridesmaid
We met senior year of high school, went to college together, were college roommates, coworkers and co-interns. Two years of my life were spent living with this girl. There isn't another person I've lived so many stages of life with--including this new season of marriage for both of us! I am constantly challenged and unconditionally loved by Kelsey.
David Mournighan - Groomsman
I love the fact that I have been given another older brother in you. I have had some of the best conversations with you and I have always enjoyed spending time together. I know I can ask you about anything because your like an encyclopedia on any subject. Favorite memory: playing Carol of the Bells by August Burns Red together literally the day after we met.
Josh Hafner - Groomsman
Literally the oldest friend I have in the world. When we first met, we lived right on top of each other in the same apartment complex and from then on became best friends. Time nor distance have been able to affect our friendship. Favorite memory: watching The Master of Disguise every time me and my brother spent the night at your apartment.
Jordan Alexander - Bridesmaid
Another sweet soul, whose kindness I could never deserve. We lived together for a year; an experience that included many shared late night ChooChoo dinners, traded headbands, Kroger runs, and bus rides. Countless nights were spent laying on her bed after work talking about life. Truly a best friend for life.
Bethanne McCoy - Bridesmaid
We met the first week of freshman year of college and have been close friends since. We were roommates for a year, neighbors for another year, coworkers for a few months, and then she left us for nursing school. Bethanne loves the Lord and loves His people. She gets the prize for being my edgiest bridesmaid.
Shawn Wortham - Groomsman
Where to begin with this one...He was my soccer captain and probably the hottest Blueberry (ROTC) in high school (right ladies?). From video games to Taco Bell drive-through pranks, high school would not have been the same without you man. Favorite memory: camping outside the Verizon store to get you the latest smartphone at the time.
Dallan Wortham - Groomsman
If I've ever had abs, it's because I had laughed so much from being with this guy. He's always beaten me at any sport that we've ever played together even scoring the most (own) goals in our soccer team. We have shared some of the funniest moments in life together. Favorite memory: public speaking in Mrs. Bentley's class and all of its shenanigans.
Kelly McAndrew - Bridesmaid
Warning: Kelly will take all credit for Manuel and I working out. The day I met Manuel she told me to "keep and eye on him" and to my benefit, she was right about us being good together. Kelly is one of those rare people who are really loving and fun to be around, but also solid in what she believes and not afraid to tell you that you're wrong. I have benefited over the years from her constant wisdom, love, and vulnerability.
Ian Webster - Groomsman
I could not have asked for a better roommate in this one. He is the most approachable guy I know and I feel confident to tell him anything I feel or think at the moment. I'm pretty sure our girls think we are idiots when we hang out together. Favorite memory: trying to scare away the sketchy car that was outside our apartment that one night.
Erin Bethea - Bridesmaid
I cherish my friendship with this one. Erin is incredibly intelligent, possesses a ton of willpower, but is at the same time very humble. It has been a joy for us to be such good friends with her and Ian, and their friendship has brought a lot of laughter, honesty, and also exercise into our lives. And she's been coming up with wedding hashtags for months now.
LeeAnn Barton - Bridesmaid
We met shortly after I became a Christian. From being my small group leader to inviting me into their home and family, the Bartons have had tremendous influence on who I am as a person and my faith in Christ over the years. LeeAnn has that unique capacity of always knowing when something is wrong and listening because she truly cares. I've been trying to help her balance out the brunette to red-head ratio in that house for years.
Stephen Prokop - Groomsman
Salesman by day, pizza man by night and soon-to-be brother-in-law fulltime. This guy will tell you anything you need to know about Star Wars - I mean anything. If you spend time with this guy, he will have you laughing by the end of the night. Favorite memory: playing Apples to Apples and learning how "sexy" he is.
Kyle Ahmed - Groomsman
I owe my gorgeous figure to this guy. This guy pushes me hard at the gym and makes me feel life crap afterwards. I guess he's an OK scientist too. We were undergrad workers in the same lab two years ago and have been friends ever since. Favorite memory: locker room, left side.
Victoria Ramsay - Bridesmaid
Beside Manuel and I, Victoria might be the next most excited for this wedding. She constantly encourages, always works hard, and is always up for a breakfast date. We have grown so close so quick, and I am so thankful for this friendship! Victoria is an incredibly dedicated person. She also bought me a wedding planning notebook before we were engaged. That's dedication.
Holly Daniell - Bridesmaid
We met at the Watty College Retreat my junior year of college. Holly didn't like me when we first met, but lucky for me (and for her) she changed her mind about me pretty quickly. I'm fortunate to be a witness of her walk with the Lord, and have learned a lot from her commitment and perseverance. Holly has brought many laughs to my life, including the time she let me make her hair into an afro.
Beejan Asady - Groomsman
Give him anything that exists under the sun and he'll show you that it originated from Persian culture. He's a perfect example that smarts and humor can go together. Just don't get him on a hot subject or he'll get fired up, and you won't like him when he gets fired up. Favorite memory: flipping our canoe over and the ever controversial "who-rescued-who".
Abraham Varghese - Groomsman
Ever wanted to know the recipe for tear gas? This guy has an Indian dish that has you covered. As a former roommate and a great friend, I have had some of the best faith-related conversations with this guy and have benefited so much from his experience in life. Even though half his jokes don't make sense (by content, not by language), I have lived some of the funniest moments in college with him. Favorite memory: experiencing his "other self" that only comes out after 1am.
Jennifer Russu - Bridesmaid
One of the sweetest people I know. Jen and I laugh a lot together, drink coffee a lot together, and cry a lot together. Being with Jen brings some peace into my life, and her genuine love for others is a great example to me. It is an honor to be so close with someone who has such a genuinely beautiful soul. You can call her Jennifer, Jen, or Jenny From the Block.
