Our Wedding

Blake and I first met in 2014 at the beginning of the semester at Northwest Missouri State University. We were both in the same Thursday afternoon class: Diet and Nutrition Behavior. A class we had both last minute decided to pick up for the semester. Due to adding the class late, we had both missed day one. When I&nbsp;sat down in front of him and asked what I&nbsp;had missed the week before, he wasn't much help.&nbsp;After a few online quiz study sessions and the help of a mutual friend, Blake finally got the courage to call me and ask me out. Our first date was a Friday night (November 7th to be exact) and the night before my first big teacher test I would ever take. He took me to dinner, the batting cages, out to get ice cream, and a walk around our gorgeous campus.&nbsp;We ended up staying up until 3 am laughing and talking and learning more about each other- despite the fact that my alarm was going off at 5:30 am. I ended up&nbsp;passing&nbsp;all 4 sections of my test that next day and Blake was the first person I&nbsp;told. He said it meant that our dating was good luck and the rest was history.&nbsp; &nbsp;Over the last three years of our relationship we have gone on countless dates, continued to take classes together and study,&nbsp;been too formals, and&nbsp;watched lots of baseball. Then we each&nbsp;graduated college, survived long distance- twice, and&nbsp;have gotten&nbsp;our first real "big-kid"&nbsp;jobs.We’ve travelled to 11&nbsp;states, played endless amounts of card&nbsp;games, enjoyed time with our family and friends,&nbsp;and had countless adventures together. On December 19, 2017 Blake came to my first&nbsp;Kindergarten classroom, and with the help of my 17 students, got down on one knee and asked me marry him. With happy tears I instantly and excitedly said yes.&nbsp;We cannot wait to continue our adventures together for the rest of our lives.

Lied Lodge and Conference Center: Morton Historic Barns

When you arrive at Lied Lodge, the ceremoney and reception will be held at the Morton Historic Barns. The barns are located behind the lodge. They&nbsp;are two large, white connected barns.&nbsp;You can get to the barns by walking from Lied Lodge: exit out the back and follow the gravel path to the barns. You can also get to the barns by driving: leave the front of Lied Lodge and take a left, down the road you will take another left that will bring you around the a road and right into the property. There is plenty of parking directly outside the barns. Walk around the backside of the barns and you will see where the ceremony is taking place!&nbsp;Take your time getting all settled in at your hotels or the Lodge itself&nbsp;and then join us for vows and celebration!&nbsp;
