One of Mark and Sarah's favorite things to do is to watch a baseball game and their favorite team to root for is the San Francisco Giants! The week of the wedding, the Giants take on the Atlanta Braves. You can cheer on the Giants, too and watch a baseball game live. If you have not visited Oracle Park, it is quite special with breathtaking views of the bay, delicious food, and the players are fun to watch!
When it is not allergy season, Mark and Sarah like taking a stroll around the Lafayette Reservoir. Sarah's work colleague and goodest boy, Marley also liked joining the happy couple for walkies. September would be ideal weather for outdoor activities, as the San Francisco Bay Area enjoys an Indian summer (dry, unseasonably warm weather) around this time.
Mark and Sarah have enjoyed going to the California Academy of Sciences Nightlife. Nightlife is held Thursday nights and is adults-only (21 yrs+). Enjoy themed nights (like Dinosaur Night), cocktails, and fun exhibits without kids running around. Be sure to visit he aquarium and resident albino alligator, Claude!
Todos Santos Plaza is in the heart of downtown Concord and is usually abuzz with restaurants, farmer's markets, and live music. Try Parkside Bar & Grill for some good drinks and pub food https://concordbarandgrill.com/
"Bye, bye boys! Have fun storming the castle!" -- The Princess Bride.
Enjoy wine and fantastical ambiance in the heart of the Napa Valley. The novelty of entering the castle through the working drawbridge and portcullis for your wine tasting will be worth the drive. If you have time (and make reservations prior) try Bouchon Bistro. The saffron mussels and heirloom tomato salad with burrata are amazing.
