Q + A

How far are the ceremony and reception spaces from one another?

They are a 40 minute car ride depending on traffic. Easiest way is taking I-75, as long as no construction is happening. Just the perfect amount of time before cocktail hour.

What does formal attire mean?

Formal wedding attire is long dresses, both floor-grazing gowns and elegant ankle-length for females. No short dresses, but not as fancy as black tie. For men a suit with a jacket is required, no need for a tux though.

What do I do with all the time between the ceremony and reception?

They are a good distance from one another, with travel and time to get there only a little bit of time will be left. You can get a tour of the garden or the mansion before cocktail hour starts at 5pm. The grounds are reserved just for the wedding so no other guests will be there during that time. Hope you enjoy!

What does a Catholic ceremony look like?

Our ceremony will be an hour long. We are both Catholic and value the importance of marriage as a sacrament. With that includes the Eucharist and the celebration of the mass. There will be programs on the day of with instruction on the schedule of the ceremony.

Should I get a rental car?

Yes! If you are traveling from out of town, it's easiest to travel between activities with your own car. Sadly the church and reception venue are quit a drive but it's worth it. Most activities we suggest do require a car as well, but you're able to do whatever sounds most fun!

Can I bring my kids?

Please refer back to you invitation, unless it specifically says your kids name then no. We are only having specific people bring kids and it's a great time to get away and enjoy a night out. Hope you understand.
