Do you want the long or short version?

Short Version: Sarah was my stalker and she got more than she bargained for.

Long Version: Sarah and I met back in 2007 courtesy of Dave Baesl. I had just moved to Denver and didn't know anyone. Dave was one of the first people I hired at Toromont and given I didn't know anyone he invited me to join some of his room mates for a Friday night drink. Sarah just happened to be one of them. She was dating Ricky at the time and I saw her a couple of times before Dave moved on to his own place and I managed to get my own friend network in Colorado.

I saw Sarah again in 2012 (I think) when Dave got married, but it wasn't until April 15th, 2020 that our paths crossed again. While I was working on one of my car projects in the driveway, Sarah was riding Lookout Mountain on her bike. From our brief introduction back in 2007 she knew I lived in the A Frame on Lookout Mountain and had a mild obsession with working on BMWs. That day she saw the A Frame, my bald head, and a BMW in the driveway and she decided to stop and say hi! She didn't think I'd remember her, but I certainly did. Little did I know she only wanted to catch up, but I thought it was my lucky day. Who stands in their driveway and has a beautiful lady show up in the middle of Covid shutdown on a bike? It would take over a year of pestering her to finally date me, but here we are.

We've been inseparable since with many great adventures under out belts. I never thought I'd get married but that soon changed. April 15th 2024 marked 4 years since she rolled into my driveway. I made her get up early that day and we both rode up to the top of Lookout to the rock bench I always sit on at the top. Up there I asked her to marry me. Thankfully it was a much easier sell then the initial date.

She never did say how many times she rode Lookout Mountain looking for me in the driveway. Based on her level of fitness I can only assume she was stalking me.
