Once upon a time… in a land far, far away lived a girl entranced with moving far, far away from her home. She traveled so far and so wide that she ended up living in Denver, Colorado where she quickly became a fan of the infamous Colorado Rockies (go figure!). However, no matter how far and wide she traveled, she never quite met her prince.
In another land far, far away, back in the girl’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois, lived a boy with hair red as vibrant as autumn leaves. He was a traveler as well, a truck driver in fact, but no matter how far and wide he traveled, he never quite met his match.
One day, the girl got news that her bestfriend’s beloved Aunt Moe passed away. She traveled by Jeep Wrangler back to her hometown of Chicago, Illinois on a one days notice. After a 17 hour long road trip she arrived in her hometown, and where did she go?
115 Bourbon Street, a bar located deep in the streets of South Side, Chicago.
It was there, at 115 Bourbon Street, that the red haired boy spotted the princess of our tale’s head, adorned with a shameful sports team crown (a Colorado Rockies cap). She held a tequila shot in one hand and a chicken nugget in the other, while laughing obnoxiously amongst all the 115 Bourbon Street patrons.
Some say it was his heart of gold, other’s say it was a labor of love, that enabled him to see her true beauty from the inside out. For the first time, the Rockies capped girl felt seen, valued, and loved and her wanderlust enchantment came to a screeching hault.
Ultimately, the girl gave up the Colorado Rockies for her rock, her bestfriend, her soulmate. She swore to move to wherever he was because she knew that he was her home, her safe place, her heart. Wherever he goes, she goes, and wherever she goes, he goes.
The legend has it, that their love for each other continues to grow till this day, and on this November 9th they will swear to each other to be forever bounded in Holy Matrimony.
The Rockies Cap girl and the Redheaded boy lived happily ever after. The End.
