Sarah and Dan found love in a hopeless place (traveling for work to their client in Northwest Arkansas). Sarah flew in from Philadelphia and Dan flew in from Chicago every Monday to Thursday. Their relationship quickly turned from colleagues to friends and, over time, became more than friends.
Dan and Sarah kept their reverse long-distance relationship secret from their team as they traveled in each week. Dan visited Sarah in Philadelphia, Sarah visited Dan in Chicago. Instead of flying back to their respective cities some weekends, they traveled to places like Nashville, the Pacific Northwest, and Miami.
The secret relationship was not as secret as they thought and Dan and Sarah were relieved to share their relationship with their work team - especially since their relationship was well established by then with friends and family in their personal lives.
Soon after, Sarah living in NYC now, a certain global pandemic forced the conclusion of travel to Arkansas and they both faced a real long distance relationship. Sarah stayed with her parents in Syracuse and Dan lived in Chicago, unable to see each other for over 4 months.
Fortunately, Sarah was accepted into the 1Y Kellogg MBA program in Evanston, IL! The long distance was finally over and they enjoyed an incredible year making life-long friends and memories.
Upon graduation, they planned a digital nomad trip where they traveled the country together staying in hotels and AirBnBs, all while working remotely. For almost 5 months, they traveled from IL to Washington, down the coast of California, and back. It was a trip of a lifetime and confirmed what they both already knew - they had found their soulmate.
After settling in Chicago, Dan proposed to Sarah on their rooftop and celebrated the whole weekend with both their families and many of their friends.
