It all started at Frederick Community College, where a mutual friend introduced us (shoutout to fate and that one semester of gen eds!). We were friends for about a year before we officially started dating, but looking back, the connection was always there.

Our first official date? Picture two college kids in the middle of a pandemic, sitting in Sarah’s car in a Chipotle parking lot, eating burritos and hanging out. Romantic, right?

From there, life seemed to align for us at every turn. We opened our University of Maryland acceptance emails together, celebrated together, and ended up moving to College Park into a two-tower apartment complex with 16 floors in each building. By some wild stroke of luck, we were placed in units directly above each other just one flight of stairs apart. It couldn’t have been more meant to be.

After a year in that apartment, we moved in together across the street into our very first place and stayed there for three years. We now live in a townhouse in Virginia!

We always knew we wanted to get married. Sarah had a habit of casually (or not so casually) pointing out places that would make the perfect proposal spot. And on February 15, 2025, during a freezing, rainy day at Assateague Island, she made one of those comments again completely unaware that Breyden already had the ring in his pocket.

Despite the weather, Breyden insisted they had to go to the beach. After a foggy walk down the shore, he got down on one knee and proposed. Sarah was shocked and completely overjoyed. Of course, she said yes!

Now, we’re counting down to forever. We’ve grown together through cross-country road trips, long flights, new adventures, shared TV obsessions (some that Sarah is just now discovering), and making lifelong memories with our families who have truly become one big, beautiful family.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you at our cozy October winery wedding, surrounded by the people we love most. Here’s to the next chapter and many more Chipotle parking lot dates along the way.
