Luke and Sarah were introduced in early 2016 by their two friends, Kelsey and Joel (pictured above). Sarah knew them both from high school, Luke knew them from college.

Before long, the two were texting non-stop, and eventually Luke drove from Holland to Dexter to take Sarah on their first date.

By September, they were officially dating.

For the next five years, Sarah and Luke were in a long-distance relationship. The two made many long drives over the years from GR to East Lansing, then from Holland to Chicago.

Finally in 2021, Luke moved to Chicago and long distance became a quick 10 minute drive up the street!

Luke proposed in July of 2022, he surprised Sarah while she was on a trip with her Mom and Sister in South Haven.
