Welcome to our story 💙

It all started in a small gymnasium in the athletic center at Trinity College. Two student athletes both enrolled in badminton class to reach the bare minimum of credits required for senior spring. Yes, that’s right, badminton class. Little did they know that the .25 credit class would be the place they met their true love. Sarah immediately noticed Chandler when he walked into the gymnasium and proceeded to ask her friend Shannon, “who’s that cute guy?”. Well it turns out Chandler had a similar thought process because he noticed Sarah instantly too and asked his friend Will, “who’s that cute girl?”. Naturally, they were both too shy to make a move on one another.

A few months passed and Sarah finally tried to make a move on Chandler, but the odds were not in her favor. They were at the Tap Cafe (a local bar across from campus where Chandler worked and frequently hung out). She went up and sat next to Chandler at the bar and said “hey, how’s it going?” to which Chandler responded “good, how about you?”. After Sarah replied, Chandler decided to get up and walk away. Sarah was very disappointed but decided it just wasn’t meant to be.

A few weeks later during senior week is when their story truly began. On Monday night of senior week, everyone went to Mohegan Sun casino to gamble and party. At the end of the night, all of the seniors were instructed to meet at the bus area to head back to campus. This is where Sarah spotted Chandler and decided to drunkingly run up behind him and grab his shoulders to say hi. Again, unbeknownst to Sarah, Chandler thought to himself, “that girl is really cute.” They went about the rest of their night with their respective friends and nothing came out Sarah’s drunken move.

The following night, Chandler decided it was his turn to make a move on Sarah. During the early am hours Chandler went onto Instagram, and with a little liquid courage, sent Sarah a message that read “hey, ya I’m actually just hanging low key tonight, so ya I’m around.” Sarah was partying at the frats with her friends when she received Chandler’s message. She was highly confused but also very intrigued by it and decided to reply with a very classy message saying “lol so you’re not going out at all?” Clearly these two love birds were killing it with their flirtatious text messages because Sarah ended up leaving the frats early to go hang out with Chandler. They hung every night for the remainder of the week.

The day after graduation Sarah said goodbye to Chandler figuring they wouldn’t see each other again. However, Chandler had other plans and texted Sarah later that day to see if she would like to go on a date. Chandler combined Sarah’s love for dogs and his love for bowling into a jam packed first date. First stop was playing with puppies at a pet store, followed by a few rounds of bowling at Chandler’s favorite bowling alley, and finally a nice dinner at a local restaurant in Chandler’s home town of Madison, CT. After their first date, Sarah and Chandler knew they had met their soulmate.

Fast forward nearly four years after graduating, Chandler brought Sarah back to Trinity to propose on the stone that only alumni can stand on. They then went out to dinner with both of their parents to celebrate their engagement. To say it was a perfect day is truly an understatement.
