A Cheeky Reply That Changed Everything

One January evening, after becoming jaded by the sea of "hey girl" and "you up?" responses on her Hinge profile, Sarah had nearly given up on finding her person. That is, until a cheeky reply on one of her least-engaging prompts caught her eye. After responding quickly - and correctly - Sarah &amp; Steven’s love story officially began.&nbsp; January 2021Sarah: “Fun Fact: I won back-to-back Game of Thrones and Harry Potter trivia on a cruise”&nbsp;Steven: “Quick. Where do the Dothraki go when they die?”&nbsp;Sarah: “The Night Lands, duh.”&nbsp; Fast-forward three years, one apartment and a puppy later, this quirky prompt transformed into a perfect relationship. April 2024*on Sarah's UK adventure*Sarah: “Shall I get you a genuine Lord of the Rings” sword?Steven: “YES!!! Anduril.”&nbsp;Sarah: “Say less.”

On February 6, 2021, Sarah and Steven met in person for the first time at Hahn Woods for a nature walk. After an hour traipsing through the forest, Sarah learned how attentive he was, and Steven learned just how much this bird could chirp.&nbsp; While Steven was convinced this relationship was DOA after their second date (you'll have to ask the couple why) he decided to give it one more try. Their third date, Valentine’s Day, was the best date Sarah had ever been on. Steven invited her over for a home cooked meal, offered her a single rose and the two spent hours talking and getting to truly know each other. It was then that Sarah knew he was truly special. Sarah and Steven’s bond became stronger with each passing day. Two and half years after their first date, they decided it was time to make it official - they wanted to get married. But, they agreed, you don’t buy the car without a test drive first, so they moved into a quaint apartment in Grant Park to begin building their life together.&nbsp; About nine months and one puppy (Nori) later, Steven proposed. To Steven’s chagrin, Sarah had been sniffing out a proposal like a bloodhound for six months. But Steven, besting her, cleverly threw her off the scent and surprised her on their solo trip to Hilton Head with a beach proposal.&nbsp; After a day of soaking up the sun and surf, the two went on a sunset walk on the beach. Steven planned a message in a bottle activity to show just how deep his love was. As Sarah haphazardly threw the bottle in the ocean, Steven got down on one knee in the waves and asked her to marry him.&nbsp;Spoiler alert: She said, "YES!" These days, the two are busy planning their wedding and future together. Steven is creating his very own board game, and Sarah is working up the courage to begin writing a novel. They spend their weeknights cooking new recipes , snuggling on the couch with their pup, and watching the latest fantasy/sci fi drama.
