Nathan spent time and effort courting me in 2017 while we were both in grad school at the University of Denver. I was so shy that I didn't recognize him inviting me to his apartment to cook me dinner, and spend time together, just the two of us, as a date. And yet at the same time a date felt inevitable, so that when he soon after officially asked me out, it was an immediate 'yes'.

The rest, five years later, is history.
