What is the attire and color scheme?

We'd love for everyone to be in semi-formal attire, but your comfort is of course the most important thing! The color pallet will be attached and the accent color is gold. A suit jacket and slacks, a summer dress with a jacket, anything you can dress up or down depending on how you want to look.

What does the menu look like?

We will be having three meat options, chicken, beef, or salmon, and a few sides like macaroni and cheese, salad, etc. On your invitation, my phone number will be attached and you can let me know of any dietary restrictions. A little survey for dietary restrictions and food preferences is also on the RSVP page! We have a wonderful caterer lined up who we'll work with to make sure everyone can enjoy the food in the afternoon! We will be serving cupcakes as well for dessert!

Where should I stay?

For our wonderful out-of-towners, I've selected a few hotels in the area that would be great to stay at and put them in the Travel section of the website. There are car rentals in town and near airports for those who might need additional transportation. There are also some Airbnbs in town for groups traveling together that are looking for a different experience.

What is there to do in Kalamazoo?

The short answer is A LOT! A fall wedding in the Midwest means apple orchards, farmer's markets, and festivals are going on often. Gull Meadow Farms is a great stop for cider, apples, and donuts. There are bars galore in the downtown Kalamazoo area with just as many restaurants. For those who love the outdoors, the Kalamazoo Nature Center and the Kal-Haven trail are both great stops to make while you're in town. Check out the Things to Do section for more suggestions of our favorite spots!
