Yes! All wedding activities will be taking place in the hotel.

No strict dress code, but since we’ll be celebrating in a ballroom, we’d love for guests to dress to impress— classy, festive, and ready to dance! We just ask that you avoid wearing white, Cabernet or Sangria as those are the wedding party colors.

Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be inside. There is a private courtyard that is accessible during the reception. If you choose to wear a coat there is a coat check available.

We are providing all wedding guests a seated dinner made by Proudfoot & Bird. Drinks are on us to start! We’ll have an open bar beginning at cocktail hour and running until our prepaid tab runs out. After that, it’ll switch to a cash bar—so everyone can keep the party going if they’d like.

We ask that you please do NOT bring a plus one if they were not on the invitation you received in the mail.

We kindly ask that our celebration be adults-only. We adore your little ones, but we’ve chosen to include only a few children from our immediate families. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The Hotel Fort Des Moines has a parking garage connected via the SkyWalk. You can park there for $10 or if you would rather valet park you can do that as well at the front of the hotel entrance.

We encourage our guests to stay at the Hotel Fort Des Moines, but there are many other hotel options around downtown Des Moines.
