Our Wedding

We first met in the fall of 2017 at Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Denver, introduced by mutual friends. At the time, Dave was focused on his career, while I was finishing college and juggling internships. But over plates of Hawaiian rolls, rounds of sake, and endless laughter, we quickly realized we had more in common than we ever expected—cue the disco lights! One date turned into another, then another, and before we knew it, nearly eight years had passed. Along the way, we’ve built a life filled with adventure—remodeling our mid-century home, tending to our garden, dancing under the stars at Red Rocks, hiking and camping in the Colorado mountains, and exploring the world together. Through it all, our love and friendship have grown beyond our wildest dreams, and we’ve remained each other’s biggest supporters and greatest adventure partners. On a frigid November night in 2023, in the charming town of Salida, Colorado, Dave finally “surprised” me with an engagement ring. Standing in the snow, illuminated by twinkling Christmas lights in the park, I said “Yes.”—and just like that, a new adventure began: planning a wedding! With our shared love for great food, great music, and the outdoors, we searched for a venue that captured everything we cherish. We found the perfect spot—a breathtaking setting with the Colorado Rockies as our backdrop, just outside Rocky Mountain National Park. Now, as we step into this next chapter, we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you—sharing love, laughter, and unforgettable memories on our special day!

Our Story

Wedding Party

With many friends and family coming from different places we have decided that in lieu of getting a hotel block it would be best to allow everyone to decide on the accommodations that suit them best. The wedding will be at Della Terra Mountain Chateau on Fall River Road just 10 minutes from the town of Estes Park. There are rooms and cabins available for the night of the wedding at the venue itself. Along Fall River Road are many options for lodges and riverside cabins. There are hotels in Estes Park close to restaurants and activities including the historic and haunted Stanley Hotel. Many choices of AirBnb and VRBO properties all around as well. Depending on where people decide to stay we may book a shuttle to pick up in central Estes Park to deliver guests to and from the wedding venue.

The Estes Park Resort

Estes Park located just over an hour drive from Denver is a vacation destination. Located right next to Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park has many hotels, restaurants, lakes, rivers, trails and wildlife. There is no shortage of things to see and activities for the whole family. May in Estes Park is typically nice weather with highs in the 60s, but the Colorado mountains are unpredictable so it could be cold and snowy. Bring layered clothing and enjoy biking and rafting, or snowshoeing and snowmobiling.

Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the jewels of the US Park System. This national park wonderfully preserves a spectacular section of the southern Rocky Mountains while also making it accessible to the public. With abundant wildlife, 100+ lakes, over 350 miles (560km) of hiking trails, roads that take you to the top of the mountains, and all the amenities you need just outside the park boundaries, Rocky has everything you need for an amazing vacation. Park entrance requires a park pass and during the busy season (May 23-Oct 20) a timed entry permit purchased in advance is necessary.
