Sari and Alex’s journey began when they first “met” in the summer of 2014, despite having gone to high school together. After sharing their first kiss under the romantic 4th of July fireworks in Bellmore, Alex courted Sari for weeks, sweeping her off her feet.

That summer, they grew closer, going on dates along the Long Beach boardwalk and spotting TV stars on the streets of Manhattan. However, as the end of the year approached, they agreed to part ways knowing the challenges of long distance relationships during college were difficult to navigate.

Over the next nine years, Sari and Alex crossed paths at 4th of July parties and birthday parties, at which Alex consistently and fruitlessly asked Sari out on dates. During that time, they pursued different relationships, focused on their careers, and both moved to the city—unaware that their perfect match had been right there all along.

In April of 2023, everything changed. Just a few months after Alex boldly (and awkwardly) asked Sari to slow dance at Sammy & Shelby’s wedding, fate and timing finally aligned. From their second "first" date, it was clear this time was different. They both knew they had found something special.

Sari and Alex complement each other in every way, and as many will attest, Sari has brought to the forefront the best “grown-up” version of Alex in record time. They now live happily together in NYC, in an apartment filled with Christmukkah decorations, pink flowers, and vinyl records–a space that perfectly captures their unique love story, until they eventually move back to Bellmore.
