Both Sasha and Jacob work for Mountaire Farms in North Carolina. They met for the first time in the summer of 2021 and there was an immediate spark. The story goes that in her first week at Mountaire, she kept hearing about Jacob. She asked to meet "this Lucas Jacobs guy," and after that first meeting, asking his co-worker if he had a girlfriend. When the co-worker said he did, Sasha's response was "Too bad for her." The die was cast.

Several weeks later, they spent a day together touring chicken houses, with Jacob teaching Sasha about the industry and the company. Sasha called home, raving about her new "Chicken Boy," and Jacob graciously accepted the nickname. The instant connection proved true. Chicken Boy, called CB by Sasha's family, was becoming a permanent fixture.

The friendship turned romance in March of 2022, marked by a date at the Carolina Hurricanes game, followed by dinner at The Angus Barn in Raleigh. They love cooking and eating good meals, dining out, attending concerts and traveling. They love working on Jacob's farm and city girl Sasha adopted a farm animal, now a very pampered pig named Porkie.

Jacob proposed in March 2023, in a home made Christmas Tree Farm, created especially to fill a romantic fantasy Sasha had after watching a similar Hallmark movie.

The best is yet to be.
