Daniel and Sasha met on an Iceland Air flight. It was a full flight but there were two open seats next to Sasha. Just before take off, a flight attendant asked Daniel if he would like to sit next to her. They quickly started chatting before take off and spent the 7 hour flight laughing together and learning about each other.

Once they both arrived in London, they made plans to meet up a week later with their friends (Claire and Jason) in Edinburgh, Scotland. Sasha and Daniel then actually ran into each other on the Royal Mile Street in Edinburgh before their plans to meet up. Sasha thought Daniel and Jason had already eaten dinner, so she suggested meeting for drinks after dinner. Sasha and Claire went to a traditional Scottish restaurant where Sasha ordered the Haggis. Before the food arrived, Daniel and Jason happened to arrive at the same restaurant for dinner too and joined Sasha and Claire. After dinner, they all went bar hopping in old town and new town Edinburgh. Sasha and Daniel continued to hit it off that night.

The next day Sasha and Claire set out for Loch Ness early in the morning. They started making their way back to Edinburgh as Daniel and Jason were arriving in Loch Ness. The day after, Sasha and Claire started the journey back to London. Naturally, they stopped in Manchester as Manchester United is Sasha's favorite soccer team. Sasha searched for a Man United Pogba jersey, but came up short. The two returned to London. The following day, Daniel and Jason made their way to Manchester. Daniel knew Sasha was on the hunt for a jersey. He could not find one either, so he had one custom made for her as a surprise. The next day, Daniel and Jason arrived in London and met up with Sasha and Claire for dinner. Daniel surprised Sasha with the jersey...

The following day, Sasha was set to take an early train to Amsterdam, then fly to Rome in the evening. Daniel was flying home to Denver the day after. He expressed to Sasha that he wished he could go to Amsterdam with her for the day. She told him, "then come to Amsterdam with me." Daniel booked a ticket on the train from London to Amsterdam. Then he booked a flight back to London that evening from Amsterdam. Sasha and Daniel spent their first date wandering around the streets of the Netherlands. They drank beer and ate stroopwafels and Daniel got Covid tested for his flight back to Denver the next day.

Once they returned from Europe, they were inseparable. Sasha and Daniel gained quite the reputation as the traveled around the country together. From the Rocky Mountains to the South to the Pacific Northwest and everything in between, Sasha and Daniel continued to strengthen their bond.

On their first international trip together after Europe, the pair flew to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for Sasha's birthday. Daniel surprised Sasha with a romantic dinner on the beach, where he popped the question. She (of course) said yes!
