Once upon a time in senior year Spanish class, Nathan kept turning around in his seat to talk to the quiet girl behind him—Sasha. She wasn’t sure why. Was he bored? Did he actually care about irregular verbs? Why was this popular guy offering to do her homework before the teacher collected it?

Turns out he had a massive crush.

Not long after, Nathan took her on their first date—to Flip Side. He ordered fries for the table. Sasha, thinking the giant bowl was his, didn’t eat a single one. He still brings it up.

After a year at different colleges, they reunited at The Ohio State University, where they grew up together.

Post-grad, they moved to Chicago, built careers, and turned into true adults with houseplants, sourdough baking, and Costco memberships.

Now, they’re heading back to Ohio—closer to home, closer to family, and one step closer to happily ever after.
