It all began with a swipe right back in February 2021....little did we know it would be our last. We had plans to meet that following weekend when mother nature came in and wrecked them like a hurricane!!! Just kidding....she wrecked them with a BLIZZARD! After at least a week of being iced in we were finally able to make it happen. We had our first date at Mouton's, a Cajun restaurant in Leander. Matthew was initially blown away by Sasha's smile and charm, but she was taken aback by his long flowing locks and beard. The conversation came naturally and sparks started to fly as we parted ways vowing to meet up again.

After some chaotic work weeks we met again...this time for fights on ice...aka...HOCKEY! The Texas Stars may not have impressed that night, but Matthew SURE DID! Sasha barely recognized him from the parking lot due to his haircut, but he had her pegged before even getting out of the car. We got our drinks and found our seats, and the game went nearly unnoticed as we skated into each others' hearts.

We spent the next few years bonding over tacos and getting to know one another better as life had its twists and turns. Until FINALLY the stars aligned and we came back together in February of 2024. Things quickly fell back into place and our bond became stronger. After making things official later that spring, we spent the next several months binge watching shows, going on random adventures, and stuffing our faces.

At the end of summer we went on our first BIG vacation together and had the time of our lives. We wished that EVERY day could be that way....

Then came the MAGIC of SPOOKY SEASON! While Sasha planned Halloween activities, Matthew made plans of his own. The pirates room at Escapology was FINALLY open! Sasha couldn't contain her excitement when she found out it was going to be installed earlier that summer. (Matthew sneakily asked for her parents' blessing before taking her.) The day had finally come! It was our first going-out date in a while, so Sasha got dressed up! Matthew was looking sharp as well. They seamlessly worked together with haste and solved the pirate escape room with plenty of time to spare! As Sasha went to pick out her victory sign, she turned around to Matthew saying he found another treasure in the room. He knelt down on one knee and began to recite a romantic speech about how through thick and thin we can make it through anything...as Sasha tried to hold back tears and ugly crying behind her sign...he continued talking about how he wouldn't want to go through life with anyone else by his side and popped the question, "Will you marry me?!" Sasha couldn't contain her excitement and replied,"ABSOLUTELY, YES!"

They quickly notified family members and after a few weeks began the wedding planning process...which leads us to now!
