Mariko and Sas lived down the street from eachother in Lakeview Village while they both went to West Island College (WIC) for junior high and high school. They became friends from carpooling to WIC and grew close through playing volleyball and basketball at WIC, summer volleyball and basketball camps in Calgary and Invermere and their shared love for fashion (Mariko is Sas's long-time fashion consultant and is the main reason Sas isn't constantly dressing in Lulus and Uggs)...and making fun of our siblings. Mariko and Sas would often drive to one of their cabins with Mariko's family. Mr. Sembo gave each car walkie talkies to keep in touch. Sas & Mariko thought they were so clever when speaking with Mariko's brothers, they started signing off with "Thank you for flying Mariko-Saskia airlines and please extinguish all cigarettes"... they still sign off cards to eachother that way #nerds

Aurora is Mariko's daughter. Sas and Geoff heard she is a big fan of weddings... and with a face that adorable... how could they not include her?

Kelly and Sas became friends on the slopes at Pano and their friendship grew from there... Kelly is the friend Sas can always count on to hike into Taynton "one last time", answer the phone at 3am, surprise her in New York out of nowhere... and show up to Sas and Geoff's engagement party 6 months pregnant (with a toddler at home).

Megs is Sas's youngest female cousin on her Mum's side... they share a special bond and she is essentially the sister Sas never had. Sas is so excited that Megs will be standing with her on her wedding day!

Ainsley AKA "Ains" or "Poo" and Sas met in Res at Uvic. Despite different majors, Sas & Ains became fast friends, living together for 3 years, backpacking through Central America, and forming a life-long bond.
