Q + A

UPDATE: What is the name of the resort we will be staying at?

Brenden & I are staying at Grande St Lucian. Sandals Grande is furthest north on the island. Sandals Halcyon Beach is a 20 minute drive south and Sandals Regency La Toc is another 20 - 25 minutes south. (I previously wrote that Grande and La Toc were right next to each other but that is not right)..... From the travel agent: "We had guests recently stay at La Toc and they said the shuttle was fast and easy. They enjoyed full days visiting the other Sandals resorts on St. Lucia. They shuttle in the morning and go to beach and restaurants and then return on the shuttle in the evening after dinner and entertainment so I think your guests would have no problem staying at La Toc or Halcyon. "

What are the expected costs for 2 guests?

It depends on how many nights you stay and how expensive of a room you chose to stay at. For 4 days & 3 nights in the least expensive room you can expect to pay ~$2,200 (total for 2 guests).

How much are flights going to cost?

As you know, booking early is best. It also depends if you chose to take a redeye or have an overnight layover. I would expect for a single ticket to cost ~$900 at most. Sign up for the google flight tracker and it will notify you when prices drop/ go up (I have seen them go down in the high $400s so definitely keep an eye out).

Can more than 2 people stay in one room?

Only 2 guests per room.

What is included at this all inclusive resort?

Airport transportation, all meals, drinks, activities (scuba diving, water sports - kayaks, windsurfing, snorkeling, hobie cats, paddle boarding, 2 golf courses, beach volleyball, lawn chess, croquet, pool tables, day & night tennis, cards, bocce ball, horseshoes, various entertainment, etc.)

Do we have to stay at a Sandals resort?

No, there are other resorts in the area that you can stay at such as the Landings. Let me know if you would like more information about this resort. Unfortunately, there is a $170 fee (adult... **pending cost for child) for guests to come onto the property for the wedding that are not already staying at a Sandals resort. (Day pass fees are $380)

If we stay at Regency La Toc will the day pass fee apply to us going to the Grande resort for the wedding?

No, you can actually hop between all 3 resorts, there are shuttles that run throughout the day.

Are my kids welcome at Sandals?

Sandals is for adults 18+ years or older.

I really want to bring my kids, can we stay at a different resort with them?

Yes! Again, there would be a day pass fee or wedding attendance fee to come onto the resort property. Children are permitted to attend the wedding but are not allowed to explore the rest of the property.

What does travel look like (from OR)?

It takes about a day to get to St. Lucia. You have the option to take a redeye or have an overnight layover at a few locations on the east coast.

Should I book my flight through Sandals?

I would just book it on your own.

Should I reserve my room, ASAP?

Yes, you can reserve your room for ~$300 (this is refundable if you change your mind), and make payments up to the wedding. I think after 28 days of booking you have to start making payments?? Please book through our travel agent! thelovies@208travelagency.com Ron 503-930-8436 Kelli 503-881-5633

There are 3 Sandals resorts in St Lucia, which one are we staying at? Which one will the wedding take place at?

Regency La Toc is the less expensive of the 2 (Regency La Toc & Grande are right next to each other). The wedding will be at Grande. Halcyon Beach is ~30min from the other 2 resorts.

Do the rooms have air conditioning (a deal breaker for Brenden)?

Yes

How do we get to the resort from the airport?

There is a free shuttle service offered by the resort. I think the drive is ~2 hours long? You can also take a ferry which I've read is a more scenic/ less bumpy option. Here is the website for that: https://funtoseeisland.com/ I think its about ~$140-170/ person depending on where you sit. The ferry also has a bathroom. Another option is to take a helicopter (~$190/ person). https://www.stluciahelicopters.com/airport-transferes/ There are lots of other private transportation options you can look in to - you don't have to book everything through the resort!

Is there a dress code anywhere on the resort?

Yes, at the restaurants. Resort Casual: Shorts or jeans, t–shirts or polo shirts. Swimwear must be covered. Shirts and footwear required. Resort Evening: Dress pants or jeans for men, long or short sleeve dress shirts (with or without collar). Dress shoes or sandals. No shorts, t–shirts, sleeveless shirts, sneakers, flip flops or slippers. No hats nor caps.
