It was 01:00 in the morning; the house was completely quiet. Savannah was sleeping like the most peaceful little angel on Earth. Morgan, Michael, and a stranger named Ryan broke into the house under the bright white moonlight. (Technically they had a key.)
Morgan whispered, "Savannah, wake up!"
Savannah groggily woke up to a voice that she had heard many, many times before. However, this time, this voice, belonged to a person that was definitely not supposed to be in Georgia. Morgan had moved to North Carolina, and no one knew she would be home for Memorial Day. It was a surprise. Savannah jumped out of bed once the sleepy haze faded and ran to her sister and embraced her in the biggest bear hug she could muster.
"Why are you here!?" Savannah said as she was being dragged out of the bedroom to the living room. Morgan was so excited to be home, that she forgot to tell Savannah that she should probably straighten her disheveled, sleepy look because Morgan and Michael had brought a guest with them.
Morgan and Savannah got to the living room and Morgan introduced the disheveled, sleepy Savannah to a tall, red-headed man named Ryan Kelley.
Savannah says, "Hi, nice to meet you, sorry I look like a mess."
Ryan flashed that gorgeous smile and said, "No worries, I understand."
Over the next few days, Ryan and the whole Andresen family spent that Memorial Day weekend out on Lake Lanier having lots of fun, riding the jet ski, tubing, and laying out in the warm sunshine.
Savannah then decided she would go back to North Carolina and spend the summer with Morgan and Michael. Ryan went to California to visit family for a week and while he was gone, he called Savannah on the phone and asked her if she would want to go out on a date when he got back. Savannah said yes.
When he got back from his vacation, Ryan and Savannah went on their first date to MJ's Raw bar in New Bern, NC. The very same place Savannah decided she did not like raw oysters.
One week later, Ryan asked Savannah to be his Girlfriend.
Four and a half years later, on November 26, 2017, Ryan asked Savannah to go to the Botanical Garden in Gainesville, GA. There he found a little waterfall backdrop and said, "This looks like a good spot!" Savannah with a fair amount of bewilderment said, "A good spot for what!?"
That is when Ryan pulled out the ring box he made by hand, got on one knee, and said, "Savannah Tyler MẽChel Andresen, will you marry me?" To which Savannah proceeded to beat Ryan up and said, "YES!"
And the rest is history..... <3
