In true Juan fashion, he approached the new girl at the gym with utmost confidence. When Savannah asked how long he’d been going there, he simply pointed to the member wall and said, “I’m one of the founding members,” with just the right mix of sarcasm and pride. One thing led to another, and on December 27th, 2022, they went on their first date. Less than a month later, Savannah found herself invited on Juan’s 40th birthday trip to the British Virgin Islands—where she met all his closest friends and asked him to be her boyfriend (in Spanish, no less!).

By March 2023, Savannah and her cat, Stella (yes, a cat), had moved in, and the rest is history.

Together, they’ve traveled everywhere from Cartagena, Colombia, to Banff, Canada, Italy, and countless places in between. When they’re not off exploring the world, they love discovering new restaurants and bars, watching sneaker shows, going to church, and spending time with their friends and family.

In August 2025, Juan returned the favor—popping the question in Spanish—and now they can’t wait to celebrate their love with everyone who means the most to them.
