Our Story

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL…Our story begins in Alum Creek Elementary School, 12 years ago. Two young kids, passing each other in the halls without personally knowing each other, but knowing of each other. Fast forward to Freshman year of high school, when Glenn &amp; Savannah were sat next to each other in Interdisciplinary Studies through fate, where both would find each other peculiar and annoying. Glenn would stack his Scooby-Doo graham cracker wrappers on the corner of his desk, while Savanah would bring her RKH Bowling Beyond The Basics book for some “light” reading. Neither would be able to live those memories down. While they saw each other daily, they only briefly knew each other through mutual friends. Savannah became a writer and eventually an editor for her school news magazine, The Beacon, while Glenn continued as a member of the Olentangy Marching Band as an alto saxophone player. During sophomore year, Savannah was assigned to pass out the school magazine in the side hallway of the building, along with the band and orchestra rooms on the morning of “Beacon Day.” Each month, Savannah would ask Glenn to purchase a copy of The Beacon, but to no avail. She still would throw him the goody bag or give him the dessert they were passing out that day anyway. One morning, Savannah tried her hand again at selling the Beacon to Glenn, knowing that the answer would most likely be no. However, to her surprise, he decided to buy a copy from her. This was January of 2020. In shock of his abnormal purchase, Savannah decided to reach out and text Glenn to thank him personally, which is the moment Glenn realized he did not have the correct phone number for Savannah and had been texting a deactivated phone number the past few weeks. They laughed, confided in each other, and even called to show each other their houses, and they ultimately decided to make a date for February 7th, 2020 (their original anniversary). From that point forward, it was clear they had something special… a long-lasting friendship and love that they carried with them as they grew up and grew older. They graduated together, went on vacations together, moved in together in Columbus, and attended THE Ohio State University together. On July 26th, 2025, Glenn got down on one knee on Savannah’s first ever camping trip, and the first time she ever got to see his family’s vast property in Eastern Ohio. That day, he had shown her his grandmother’s house, their favorite hunting spot, the town’s famous pizza place, and the house he one day aspired to live in. They even attempted to fish together in a small boat, however, the wind from the impending storm forced Glenn to exhaust all efforts to try and steer the boat back to the dock with one wooden oar. His proposal was perfect… a quiet moment together on the side of a wildflower filled hill at sunset by the property’s lake. While they may have faced the rain and took on water in their tent that night due to Savannah’s poor tent building skills, it was the beginning of their forever future together, and they wouldn’t change a thing.They set the date of their wedding to be the same date as the day Glenn proposed: the day their future became intertwined with love, laughter, and memories. They cannot wait to share their love and to celebrate the start of this new journey with their families.
