Everything you need to know for your time in Barbados!
We're so grateful to have you joining us in one of our favorite places. The information below should help you as you plan your trip. If you need further information, please call us anytime!
How will I know where to be and when?
A schedule of events is provided on this website and a more detailed itinerary will be ready and waiting for you at the hotel.
Is airport transition available?
Sea Breeze Beach House provides airport transfers for hotel guests for $70 per person. You can reserve their shuttle service by calling the hotel in advance of your stay.
Airport transfers are also available through a variety of providers at the airport, including multiple taxi services. If you find a taxi driver that you like, ask for their direct contact information. Many will offer to serve as an on call driver through your entire stay.
What will we be doing as a group?
In short, our celebrations will include a welcome reception at the hotel on Sunday morning, a ceremony luncheon on Monday, a catamaran reception Monday afternoon and a day at The Boatyard, a casual beach club, on Tuesday.
You'll have plenty of time to have some fun and enjoy the island on your own during your stay!
How will I get to the group events?
Charter transportation will be provided for each group activity, always departing from and arriving back to Sea Breeze
Why no camo?
Camouflage clothing is against the law in Barbados and is reserved for use by the armed forces only. No camo crocs, even if they're coming from Wisconsin.
What should I wear?
We want everyone to feel comfortable and ready to have some fun!
Resort casual attire is requested at the welcome reception and ceremony, while beach attire will be perfect for the day at The Boatyard.
We'll be departing for a snorkeling trip on a catamaran directly from the ceremony, so please bring a beach bag with you including a swimsuit and towel. Changing rooms will be available at the venue.
Attire on the island can not include any camouflage.
Should I rent a car?
Car rentals are available at the airport through a few local agencies. There are plenty of areas on the island worth exploring, all within an hour, but note that driving takes place on the other side of the road. Making that adjustment can be a scary but fun learning experience!
What will the wedding day include?
Get ready for a day of fun! After departing the hotel as a group, we'll spend three hours at Local & Co. Our time there will include a cocktail hour, ceremony and lunch. It's
a beautiful, beachfront location and you'll have plenty of time to take photos on the sand.
We'll depart on a catamaran directly from the sand at Local & Co for an afternoon of reggae music, rum and snorkeling in the crystal clears waters of Barbados. Private changing rooms will be available at Local & Co and we won't be returning to the hotel between events, so please bring a swimsuit, coverup and towel.
We'll have dinner on the boat towards the end of our trip. Also, watersport vendors sometimes greet the catamarans with jet skis and other toys available for rent. These vendors accept cash only. Restrooms will also be available on the boat.
The boat should arrive back at the dock around 7pm where charter transportation will be waiting to return us all to the hotel.
What is The Boatyard?
The Boatyard is a fun, local beach bar with beach chairs and cabanas for guests. Located directly on the sand, The Boatyard is known for their floating trampoline and a rope swing at the end of the pier.
Anything else I need to know?
Most taxis and other transportation providers don't allow wet clothing. Because of this, plan on taking a towel each time you go out and about and may get wet. Better safe than sorry!
If you enjoy adult beverages or even specific snacks and like to pack your own, consider purchasing before you leave the United States. Prices are much higher in Barbados, typically around three times the American cost. There are great Duty Free stores in the Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte airports!
