Our story really starts with late night car conversations after sand volleyball. Our first true 1 on 1 time together was disguised by my desire to "see the leaves", so we went on a hike in November and I left with my tagline affirmed: "if I date that man, I'll marry him." And I was right. But buckle up, because the road does get a little rocky.

We officially started dating in April of '22 and I constantly found affirmation that Tyler is my forever. It isn't very hard to love him deeply. Thankfully, I found that love pretty quick, and refused to let it go. Through each, let's call them gaps, I relied on one thing: my trust in God. My trust in God gave me inexplicable peace in moments I should have felt no clarity. My trust in God gave me hope He had a plan that was better than I could imagine. My trust in God allowed me to extend grace and forgiveness. My trust in God strengthened and protected my love for Tyler. My trust in God allowed us to continue building our love story.

On a trip to Wilmington, Tyler caught me completely off guard when he proposed. A fun day of adventures just the two of us and the 4Runner on the beach followed by a delicious dinner with great friends, only to be completed by our initial commitment to forever (and a really sparkly ring). Then we got to come back to Charlotte and reverse surprise all of our friends that thought they were coming to a surprise birthday party. The last few months have been my favorite yet as we have truly began planning and dreaming for forever.

As we look forward to marriage, I am grateful for the 3ish years we have had together. We have shared so many fun memories through beach trips, game nights, date nights, and sports. We have seen our relationship strengthened through our commitment to individual development, vulnerability, and willingness to lean into hard conversation. Although our story isn't all butterflies and sunshine, I am grateful for the ways we have seen God work through the highs and the lows. I am so excited to get to marry the man that is the answer to so many of my prayers and truly embrace the golf wife life!
